We are actually talking about this now in class and have come to the conclusion (due to convincing evidence) that naps are good and healthy. Appearently it is also safer for you. Both physicaly and mentaly.

I'm a napper too. I get teased often about my naps on the train on my way home from work, but you know -- I feel much more relaxed and awake when I get home. All around a more friendly person to be around in the evening.

I say, "Nap Away".

Well I think naps are brilliant, I could nap for England and I love it. As an Holistic Consultant though I can't help adding a bit of advice for you. One of the big
tiredness causes in our society today is adrenal fatigue, brought on just by our lifestyle - Drinking coffee, sugar, rushing around etc. If you do a sleep study on yourself like you suggested maybe you could try one or two weeks of having 8 hours sleep, no coffee, sugar, artificial foods etc and see if your need for napping reduces? Chances are, your body is desperate for some time out, that's why it's forcing you to nap.

Try it and see, as out Western lifestyle is one of the big
tiredness causes and it can be our body trying to tell us something.

Good luck, sweet dreams :)
